Musical version of 'Back To The Future' in the works
An all-singing version of the 1985 sci-fi movie is on the cards
A musical version of Back To The Future is apparently set to be made.
Deadline – via the AV Club - has reported that the original director of the cult 1985 sci-fi movie, Robert Zemeckis, is on board, as is screenwriter Bob Gale, who wrote the film with Zemeckis. Composer Alan Silvestri is also working on the new stage production.
Last year Tinie Tempah spent £24,000 on a pair of Back To The Future-inspired trainers. The rapper snapped up the very first pair of the limited edition Nikes at a charity auction in Los Angeles.
The footwear range featured exact replicas of the glowing trainers from 1989's Back To The Future II. Nike released 1,500 pairs of the 2011 Nike Mag Sneakers which were auctioned on eBay.
All proceeds from the sale went to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease research, the charity set up by the actor who played Marty McFly in the sci-fi comedy franchise.
