'Nashville' actor Michiel Huisman joins cast of 'Game Of Thrones'
Actor will appear in season four of the HBO fantasy show but his role has yet to be confirmed
Nashville actor Michiel Huisman has joined the cast of Game Of Thrones.
Huisman's role on the HBO fantasy series show has yet to be confirmed, The Hollywood Reporter notes, but fans are apparently speculating that he could be playing a character called Styr, the Magnar of Thenn.
In the original novels by George RR Martin, Styr is said to have a lean, sinewy build and a picture of Huisman working out for Game Of Thrones was posted on Instagram by the actor's personal trainer, though it's since been removed. As well as appearing in Nashville as music producer Liam McGuinnis, a love interest for Connie Britton's Rayna James, Huisman is known for his role as busker Sonny in Treme.
Season three of Game Of Thrones drew to a close in June, and season four started shooting the following month in Northern Ireland. The new season will comprise another 10 episodes and introduces a new character called the Red Viper, played by Chilean actor Pedro Pascal.
Meanwhile, Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss has also joined the cast in a role that has yet to be specified. Season four is set to begin next spring (2014).
