New 'Anchorman 2' trailer reveals '80s theme - watch
Will Ferrell's eagerly-anticipated newsroom sequel opens in cinemas on December 20

Titled Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the sequel follows Will Ferrell's '70s news anchor Ron Burgundy as he launches a comeback on a 24-hour network in '80s New York. "I'm gonna do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this Earth to do: have salon quality hair and read the news," he promises in the trailer.
Steve Carell, David Koechner, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate have all reprised their roles from the first Anchorman film, while James Marsden appears as a rival news anchor and Kristen Wiig has also joined the cast as the wife of Carell's character, Brick.
Meanwhile, Kanye West has filmed a cameo appearance and his improvisational skills drew praise from director Adam McKay. "He was great and he was funny. He came up with a couple good lines on his own," McKay recalled recentlly. Drake and Green Day make guest appearances in the sequel too.
Released in 2004, the original Anchorman was a parody of a '70s TV newsroom written by Ferrell and McKay. The pair also teamed up to write the sequel, which opens in cinemas on December 20.
