New James Bond 'Skyfall' trailer debuts to online acclaim
Fans hail the new trailer as they get a proper look at Javier Bardem as 007's arch nemesis
A brand new trailer for the James Bond film Skyfall has debuted online. Click above to watch it. The trailer, which is just under 150 seconds in length, is certainly action packed, with a series of glimpses into some high-octane set pieces. It also suggests that the film's storyline will centre around Bond being declared dead before secretly returning to duty.
It also offers viewers their first proper glimpse at Javier Bardem as the film's villain. Bardem is set to portray a character named Raoul Silva and is sporting dyed blonde hair and a wild-eyed stare similar to his Oscar winning turn in No Country For Old Men.
The trailer also shows Bond meeting Ben Whishaw's new portrayal of gadget man Q for the first time and 007 getting intimate with new co-star Bérénice Marlohe.
Online reaction to the trailer has been hugely positive. Total Film have labeled the trailer as "incredible", while users across Twitter have said that they are awaiting the film with baited breath.
Skyfall opens in the UK on October 26. The new movie's release marks the 50th anniversary of the Bond series. Sean Connery kicked off the franchise in 1962, playing Ian Fleming's British secret agent in Dr No.
