A Swiss tourist shot the footage while on holiday in Namibia recently and has now uploaded it to YouTube. The tourist writes by way of description: "Cool Holidays - in the middle of nowhere these trucks came by - This is Mad Max 4."
Mad Max creator George Miller finished shooting the movie earlier this month (January 2013) and is now working on its CGI and 3D conversion. Titled Mad Max: Fury Road, the sequel stars Tom Hardy in the role made famous by Mel Gibson in three films released between 1979 and 1985. Charlize Theron co-stars as a character called Imperator Furiosa.
Back in August, Miller released a rather cryptic plot synopsis for the sequel. He described the storyline as follows: "Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived."
Other cast members include former Skins star Nicholas Hoult and model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Mad Max 4: Fury Road has no confirmed release date yet but is expected to open in cinemas either this Christmas or early next year (2014).
