The Dark Knight Rises, the final instalment in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, opens in the US and the UK on July 20. The film, which also stars Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane, was recently awarded a 12A rating by the BBFC for "moderate violence".
The Dark Knight Rises has a confirmed running time of 164 minutes - 12 minutes longer than 2008's The Dark Knight and 24 minutes longer than 2005's Batman Begins. Early reactions to the film have been positive, with the film receiving a standing ovation at one recent preview screening.
