New 'The Hunger Games' IMAX featurette released – watch

A new behind-the-scenes look at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been released.

The short featurette film focuses on the IMAX version of the forthcoming sequel, which is due out in UK cinemas on November 21. You can watch the clip by scrolling down the page and clicking 'play'.

Speaking about the IMAX cut of the film, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen, said: "I think it's going to be really interesting because I've always been a huge fan of IMAX."

Josh Hutcherson (who plays Peeta Mellark) added: "The scope of the film is just so much bigger this time around. Francis (Lawrence, director) is a genius. He's really put so much attention to detail in so many different areas that matter a lot to me and a lot of audience members will pick up on them too."

Meanwhile, The National, Patti Smith and Lorde are among the artists set to feature on the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The official soundtrack will be released on November 19 and also features the brand new Coldplay song 'Atlas'. Other artists to have contributed songs include The Lumineers, Ellie Goulding, Christina Aguilera, The Weeknd and Santigold.

Speaking to NME recently, The National's frontman Matt Berninger revealed that his band's contribution to the soundtrack was originally deemed "too dark" by the film's makers - because of its title. The group originally contributed a song called 'Dying Is Easy', but it was sent back so the band were forced to change its name to 'Lean'.

"The song almost didn't make it because it was too dark for The Hunger Games soundtrack, which I thought was sort of funny because it's about killing kids, I don’t know how a song can be darker than that?" he said. "So we had to change the name of the song; I actually like the name 'Lean'."

He added: "The song was originally called 'Dying Is Easy' and I think that they thought it was a little too dark. But, you know, I get it. It was a really fun project… It was a cool change from how we normally work on things – to write something for something else. It was kind of a pressure release thing and it was fun, we really enjoyed it."
