A new trailer for Monsters University has been released. Scroll down and click 'play' to watch it.

The 3D computer-animated movie from Disney Pixar is a prequel to 2001's Monsters, Inc. It's set around 10 years earlier and follows Billy Crystal's Mike Wazowski as he heads to college and forges a potentially ruinous rivalry with John Goodman's Sulley.

Crystal and Goodman also leant their voices to the 2001 movie, which grossed a massive $562 million (£364 million) worldwide. Steve Buscemi, Frank Oz and Charlie Day have all reprised their roles from Monsters, Inc too.

Meanwhile, new additions to the voice cast include Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, John Krasinski and Parks And Recreation star Aubrey Plaza.

In a somewhat unlikely collaboration with Disney Pixar, US heavy metal band Mastodon have contributed an original song for the soundtrack. Monsters University opens in UK cinemas on July 12.
