New trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises' unveiled online – watch
Hours after the producers launch their new scavenger hunt, a new promo drops online
The trailer, which has also been shown ahead of the new superhero blockbuster Avengers Assemble, was debuted online last night (April 30).
The promo, which is two minutes and 20 seconds long, features a lot more footage of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in his new role as Gotham City policeman John Blake.
As well as this, more footage of Tom Hardy as the film's villain Bane is shown, with the character speaking in a much clearer manner than earlier trailers. Little is revealed in terms of plot lines, but hints are given as to the loyalty of each of the film's key characters.
Yesterday, the producers of The Dark Knight Rises also launched another viral campaign to support the film's summer release.
The new campaign consists of a new online bundle, with various memos, posters, and, an invitation to a scavenger hunt which includes a string of global locations listed at which pictures should be taken and sent to the film's Twitter account. A number of UK locations are listed in the locations.
The Dark Knight Rises, which is released on July 20, is the third and final Batman film by Christopher Nolan. The movie will see the Liam Neeson reprise the role of Ra's Al Ghul alongside a returning Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.
