New 'True Blood' season four trailer released

A new promo for the fourth season of True Blood has been released by HBO. A new series of the hit vampire drama begins in the US later this month, based around Charlaine Harris' series of novels The Southern Vampire Mysteries. Watch the trailer by clicking below.

The new series will see vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) lose his memory. The trailer sees him seek help from the show’s heroine, telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin).

HBO has released the synopsis for the first episode, according to TV Overmind. It reads: "Sookie journeys away from Bon Temps; Eric and Bill try to win back the human public; Jason learns that no good deed goes unpunished; Tara finds refuge in close quarters; Sam bonds with his own; Hoyt and Jessica debate the dinner menu; Jesus urges Lafayette to join a coven; Terry tries to alleviate Arlene's fears about the baby."

True Blood returns to HBO in the US on June 26.
