'Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy' gets second series
The Boosh star's solo vehicle will return in 2013
Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy has been renewed for a second series.
The Mighty Boosh star's solo series only debuted last week on E4, but it has already been handed a second six-episode run for 2013.
The surreal sketch show sees Fielding team up with animator Nigel Coan, with music provided by Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno. The show sees the star portray a 'Bollywood Elvis' version of himself, living in a jungle shack with his anteater brother and his cleaner, Andy Warhol, with an array of characters surrounding them.
Fielding said in a statement: "Delighted to get a second series of Luxury Comedy - we'll definitely make the second one more like a Wednesday morning. Channel 4 have been so supportive and given is the creative freedom to experiment with ideas and techniques. And I think we can push things further and make something even more out there next time."
Channel 4's commissioning comedy editor Nerys Evans added: "If series one brought us a talking knife wound and a man with ice cream for eyes, we can't wait to see where else Noel's comedy mind will take us next."
The new commission will likely delay any return for The Mighty Boosh, but Fielding insists that he and Julian Barratt are definitely planning to reunite in the future, in our exclusive video interview, which you can watch below.
Meanwhile, Fielding takes your questions, along with those from the stars, in the new issue of NME, which is on UK newsstands now (January 2) or available digitally.
