'Nowhere Boy''s Aaron Johnson linked to new 'Spiderman'?
John Lennon actor is latest name connected to the Peter Parker role
Aaron Johnson is the latest actor touted to play Spiderman in the upcoming Sony reboot of the multi-million pound franchise. Johnson, 20, who recently played a young John Lennon in Nowhere Boy and a Spiderman wannabe in Kick-Ass, is the latest in a long line of young actors currently being considered to play the title role
Also on what Los Angeles Times has described as the “shortlist” are Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin, Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell and UK actor Andrew Garfield.
There is also an online campaign in favour of Community star Donald Glover.
Johnson is also rumoured to be attached to Kick Ass director Matthew Vaughn’s next project, X Men: First Class.
