Pamela Anderson is set to appear as the Virgin Mary next month on Canadian TV network CTV and for The Comedy Network.
The actress and model – pictured above with ex-husband Tommy Lee – will appear in the hour-long A Russell Peters Christmas Special alongside singer Michael Buble and comedian/actor Jon Lovitz on December 1, reveals the Hollywood Reporter.
As well as a re-imagined nativity with the Playboy model as the somewhat incongruous mother of Jesus, the show will also feature stand-up comedy as well as stop-motion animation and musical acts.
Last week Anderson, a well known campaigner for animal rights, called for a ban of horse-drawn carriages in New York, following the death of a second horse in as many weeks. The star wrote on her Facebook page: "For the second time in less than two weeks, a carriage horse has collapsed on a Manhattan street. Horses do not belong in a congested, urban setting where they are constantly breathing exhaust and sharing the streets with cars, buses and taxis."
