'Parks And Recreation' star Nick Offerman to appear on 'The Simpsons'
Ron Swanson actor describes landing the cameo as 'an incredible life dream for me'
Parks And Recreation star Nick Offerman is to make a guest appearance on an episode of The Simpsons.
The actor - who plays Parks And Rec's moustachioed meat lover Ron Swanson - described landing the cameo as "an incredible life dream for me" in an email sent to The AV Club.
"You know, earlier in the day today, I recorded an episode of The Simpsons, and that was such an incredible life dream for me that I had kind of lost sight of," Offerman wrote. "For a couple of decades, I've been ape-shit about that show, and I thought, 'It would be so amazing to be on that show, but that could never possibly happen.' And today it happened, and I was incredibly on cloud nine."
Offerman did not give away any details about the character he is playing or reveal when his episode of The Simpsons will air. It has recently been confirmed that the long-running animated sitcom will return for its 26th season next year (2014).
Meanwhile, season six of Parks And Recreation began on US network NBC last month (September) and the latest episode, which aired Wednesday (October 10), saw Offerman's Ron Swanson come face to face with his doppelganger. Later in the season, two major cast members are to leave the show.
