Poison's Bret Michaels planning big screen biopic

Singer plots turning his life story into a big budget film

Poison's Bret Michaels planning big screen biopic

Poison's Bret Michaels is planning to make a movie about his life.

Michaels, who is best known as the singer in the hair-metal band, has appeared in various reality TV shows and has a film production company with Charlie Sheen. He hopes to turn his life story into a big screen biopic.

The film will begin with his childhood in Pittsburgh before moving through his youth and the string of bands he formed, the success of Poison, the brain haemorrhage which almost killed him and last year's heart surgery.

The singer revealed his plans in an interview with The Columbus Dispatch, saying: "I want to tell the story. Mostly, when you see rock movies, it has to be this over-the-top thing. I want to give people a Bret Michaels movie where they see that my life is a comedy of errors.

He also hoped that the film, which is currently in the planning stage, would give help to people who may be struggling with addictions or suffering from similar health issues as himself, adding: "I also want to show my fans how to get through the kind of troubles that would leave most people flat on the floor."
