Richard Branson to produce film about Christopher Columbus
Virgin leader continues his move into the movie business
Richard Branson is to produce a film about explorer Christopher Columbus, possibly to be directed by McG (Charlie's Angels). The Virgin mogul will continue his move into the movie industry with the project focusing on the man who discovered America, reports Deadline.com.
It follows the launch of new company Virgin Produced and Branson's involvement with the Farrelly brothers' upcoming comedy shorts film.
Columbus wil be based on a script by TS Nowlin and is said to give the explorer "a 300-style makeover".
While McG is not yet confirmed as director, the Terminator Salvation filmmaker is already attached to the project as a producer.
