Rihanna 'Battleship' movie trailer emerges online

Aquatic blockbuster, starring Rihanna, due to be released in May 2012

The full-length trailer for Battleship, one of next summer's biggest blockbusters, has been released online.

The film, based on the classic boardgame, stars Liam Neeson, True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard and, making her film debut, Rihanna.

The trailer, which hints at much more action than the initial teaser tralier, features alien vessels lurking in formation in the depths of the ocean.

We also get a glimpse of the aliens themselves, or at least their mechanical suits. Unsurprisingly for a film coming from the team that made Transformers, the special effects look spectacular.
