Rutger Hauer to star in 'Dracula 3D'
Dario Argento has cast the Dutchman as Van Helsing
Rutger Hauer is set to star in Dario Argento’s forthcoming Dracula 3D movie. Hauer has been cast by horror legend Argento as vampire hunter Van Helsing in the film, reports Twitchfilm.com.
He is the first name to be added to the cast for the film, shooting for which is scheduled to begin in May
Hauer will also play the lead in this year's Hobo With A Shotgun, the second of the fake trailers from 2007's Grindhouse to be turned into a feature film. The first was Robert Rodriguez's Machete, released last year.
He has previously starred in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner and appeared in Batman Begins. He also appears in exorcist drama The Rite, which is in cinemas now.
