Ryan Gosling has shrugged off the fact that he was passed over in this year's Oscar nominations.
The actor's fans have been left disappointed after the Academy failed to recognise his acclaimed performances in both Drive and The Ides Of March.
But he has said that he is not worried by the omission. Asked by the Hollywood Reporter whether he was disappointed, he replied simply, "No."
Gosling was equally quick to quash the notion that he had been 'passed over' for People magazine's Sexist Man Alive title, which led to fans protesting outside their offices. He joked: "I voted for Bradley [Cooper] and I'm glad he won."
The actor is currently in Bangkok filming Only God Forgives with his Drive collaborator Nicolas Winding Refn. He described the city as "Incredible... Ever since I came here I've been dreaming about making a film in Bangkok. I'm happy to be here."
Gosling and Winding Refn are also working together on a remake of Logan's Run. You can watch the trailer for Drive by clicking below.
