Seth Rogan and Zac Efron to star in new 'R-rated comedy'
Rogan will also produce as-yet-untitled new movie
Seth Rogan and Zac Efron are set to star in a new "R-rated comedy" from Universal. Knocked Up star Rogan will also produce the as-yet-untitled film for Universal and is close to agreeing an $8 million (£4.9 million) deal, reports Deadline.com.
Universal are apparently keen to capitalise on the success of other R-rated comedies this summer such as Bad Teacher, Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses.
The film, written by Andrew Cohen and Brendan O'Brien will reportedly have a similar tone to Old School, with Rogan playing a "regular guy who lives near an alpha male fraternity house" and Efron one of the rowdy frat boys who "wreaks havoc" in the area.
Rogan is also producing and starring in another upcoming comedy 50/50, while Efron is best known for his role of Troy Bolton in the High School Musical franchise.
The 23-year-old was recently nominated for an MTV Movie Award for playing the titular character in Charlie St. Cloud.
