Video: Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows - Trailer
The new trailer for the forthcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel A Game Of Shadows has been released.
Guy Ritchie's second movie depicting Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective is due for release in the UK on December 16, and you can watch the trailer by clicking above.
The movie sees Robert Downey Jr return to the role of Holmes, with Jude Law also appearing again as his sidekick Doctor Watson. This time, the duo are up against the villainous Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris, described in the trailer as "the most formidable criminal mind in Europe."
Moriarty is the most iconic enemy in Sherlock Holmes legend, despite only ever directly appearing in one of the original novels, The Final Problem. Meanwhile, Rachel McAdams returns as love interest Irene Adler.
The first movie was nominated for two Oscars, Best Original Score and Best Art Direction. This week it emerged that Warners are already working on a third Sherlock Holmes movie. Meanwhile, the BBC's modern day adaptation, Sherlock, will return in the new year for three new feature-length episodes starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
