Shia LaBeouf to shoot 'real' sex scenes for new movie 'Nymphomaniac'
Actor admits he is 'terrified' about working with Lars von Trier on the erotic film project
Shia LaBeouf has agreed to shoot "real" sex scenes for his next film.
Earlier this month (August 9), it was reported that LaBeouf was in talks to appear in Nymphomaniac, an erotic film project from Danish director Lars von Trier. Labeouf has now confirmed his involvement and confessed to reservations about his first day on set.
When asked about working with von Trier, who is known for his improvisational methods and controversial subject matter, LaBoeuf said: "Von Trier is very dangerous. He's the most dangerous dude that I've ever showed up for. I'm terrified. I'm so terrified, which is why I have to go. We'll see what happens."
Nymphomaniac will trace the sexual progress of a woman, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg, from her youth to the age of 50. It will be split into two standalone films, each of which will receive a milder and more explicit cut from von Trier.
Discussing how far the explicit cuts will go, LaBeouf told MTV News: "Nymphomaniac is what you think it is. It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
Nymphomaniac, which will also feature Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe and Stellan Skarsgård, is scheduled to begin filming next month (September). When asked exactly what he is prepared for when he arrives on set, LaBeouf said: "Whatever is asked. I think we all are."
Nymphomaniac will not be the first time that LaBeouf has bared all in front of the camera. He previously shot nude scenes for Sigur Rós's 'Fjögur Píanó' video - scroll down to watch it.
