The Super Bowl trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness has popped up online - scroll down and click 'play' to watch it.

The 30-second clip features an exchange between Chris Pine's Captain Kirk and the film's villain John Harrison, played by Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch. "I am better," Harrison tells Kirk, who then asks his rival: "At what?". Robinson replies "everything", before suggesting ominously: "Shall we begin?"

Little is known about Cumberbatch's John Harrison character. Last month (January 2013), director JJ Abrams said of the mysterious villain: "He is sort of an average [guy]. That is what makes him so scary."

Star Trek Into Darkness, Abrams' sequel to 2009's Star Trek, opens in cinemas worldwide on May 17. Alongside Pine and Cumberbatch, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana have all reprised their roles from the first film.

Meanwhile, five other movies unveiled new trailers during the Super Bowl yesterday (February 3), including Iron Man 3 and Fast And Furious 6. The annual sporting bash featured a spectacular halftime show from Beyonce, who reunited with her Destiny's Child bandmates during her 12-minute set.
