Star Wars Rumor Generator lets fans create their own 'baseless hearsay'
Slate gives fans chance to decide plot, title and poster for JJ Abrams' reboot
The Star Wars Rumor Generator has been developed to give fans the chance to decide the plot, title and poster for JJ Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII to spread their own "baseless hearsay".
While the Star Wars rumour mill goes into overdrive with plot spoilers and concept art leaks hitting the web on a daily basis, Slate have launched the Generator to allow fans to vent their frustrations following the scarcity of official word on the film from studio Disney.
The Generator (pictured) utilises recent web rumours published by sites such as Badass Digest and Latino-Review. The Slate website proclaims: "Now you, too can can spread dubious rumors about Episode VII! Click 'Generate' to spawn more baseless speculation."
It has been confirmed that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will return to reprise their roles as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. The original George Lucas-produced trilogy was released in cinemas between 1977 and 1983.
Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave) and young British actor John Boyega (Attack The Block) have also been cast.
The JJ Abrams' reboot is set to resume filming following a hiatus to allow Harrison Ford to recover from an on-set ankle injury back in June while aboard the Millennium Falcon.
Star Wars Episode VII will be released in cinemas on December 16 next year.
