Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon spoof 'The Dark Knight Rises' in new clip from 'The Trip' – watch

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon have spoofed The Dark Knight Rises for the second series of their comedy show The Trip – scroll down and click to watch.

The clip sees the sparring comedians swap impressions of Michael Caine and Christian Bale from Christopher Nolan's superhero film. The first series of The Trip featured Coogan and Brydon playing exaggerated versions of themselves as they journeyed on a restaurant tour of the UK.

For the sequel, The Trip To Italy, they will embark on a six-stop tour of Italian restaurants. The show is set to to return to UK screens later this year and is directed by Michael Winterbottom, who also collaborated with the pair on the film A Cock And Bull Story.

The new series was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this week. Speaking previously about the show, Coogan said: "We're supposed to be retracing the footsteps of the Romantics, of Shelley and Byron and Keats, and I don't know enough about it. I'm damned if Rob's going to come across as an authority on it. It'll be a great motivation for me to read up on it so that when we improvise, I can drop some information on him."
