Sting to make guest appearance on Michael J Fox's new sitcom
Singer will appear as himself in Christmas episode of 'The Michael J Fox Show'
Sting is to make a cameo appearance on Michael J Fox's new US sitcom.
The former frontman of The Police will guest star as himself in the Christmas episode of The Michael J Fox Show, TVLine reports. The episode is being shot this week in New York City.
The Michael J Fox Show is Fox's first regular TV gig since his sitcom Spin City was cancelled in 2002. He stars as Michael Henry, a former news anchor who gave up his career when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but is now returning to work after five years off air and trying to balance his high-profile job with family life.
The Michael J Fox Show debuted in the US on September 26 but has yet to be picked up by a UK broadcaster. Reviews across the pond have been middling to positive.
Sting released his 11th solo album 'The Last Ship' on September 24. He previously appeared as himself in another sitcom, Ricky Gervais' Life's Too Short, in 2011.
