Watch Marvel's superhero ensemble vow to avenge the Earth
Marvel have released the first full-length trailer for The Avengers.
Next year's other big super movie brings together all of the comic publishers’ biggest hitters for all all-star rescue of planet Earth. You can watch the trailer at the bottom of the page.
Reprising their roles are Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Scarlett Johannsen as Black Widow. Mark Ruffalo replaces Edward Norton in the role of Hulk.
In the explosive trailer released last night (October 11), ring-leader Nick Fury, played by Samuel L Jackson, is heard explaining his superhero recruitment drive: "There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, so when we needed them, they could fight the battles we never could."
Giving a clue as to the scale of the threat, Iron Man's alter ego Tony Stark spoils for a fight, vowing: "If we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it."
The Avengers is directed by cult hero and Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. It is due for release next summer.
