'The Dark Knight Rises' Blu-ray trailer released - watch
Christopher Nolan's final Batman film will be available to buy from December 3
A trailer for the Blu-ray edition of The Dark Knight Rises has been released - scroll down to watch it.
The 90-second promo splices scenes from the film with a preview of the Blu-ray's bonus features. These include a Batmobile documentary and an in-depth look at the production process Ending The Knight.
However, the Blu-ray features no extended cut from director Christopher Nolan or deleted scenes from the film. In the past, Nolan has explained that he is careful not to shoot more footage than he needs, which "always disappoints the DVD crowd".
However, it is believed that unseen scenes exist explaining the origins of Tom Hardy's Bane character. Back in August, the film's costume designer Lindy Hemming revealed that she worked on sequences showing how Bane came to wear his signature face mask and utility belt.
Since opening in cinemas in July this year (2012), The Dark Knight Rises has taken more than $1.076 billion (£670 million) at the box office worldwide, making it the seventh biggest film ever and the most successful of Nolan's three Batman films.
The Dark Knight Rises will be available to buy on Blu-ray from December 3 in the UK and December 4 in the US.
