'The Dark Knight Rises' star warns against spoilers
Joseph Gordon-Levitt advises fans against seeking out information about Batman sequel
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has warned fans against seeking out spoilers for The Dark Knight Rises.
The actor, who previously worked with director Christopher Nolan on Inception, is set to play special assignment police officer John Blake in the forthcoming Batman sequel.
And while fans are rabid for every leaked detail about the film's plot, he said that the audience is best served knowing nothing about the film before going into the cinema. He told USA Today:
I can tell you that one of the things I admire most about Mr Nolan is that he understands that the story begins before the movie does. He's already telling the story that he’s got cooked up. He’s a master storyteller.
Gordon-Levitt continued: "Every little bit on information he lets out, he does it at the proper time. Far be it for me to pre-empt the rhythm of this. I love that people are excited about it. I guarantee, as an audience member, one will have the best experience if one just trusts him."
The Dark Knight Rises sees Christian Bale return as Batman for what is expected to be his final outing in the role. Tom Hardy plays villain Bane and Anne Hathaway plays Catwoman.
