'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer to debut with 'Sherlock Holmes'

Fans can get their next Bat-fix at cinemas next month

The full trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is said to be debuting next month.

With the appetite for information and footage from the forthcoming Batman movie still at fever pitch, details have emerged of when fans can look forward to more.

According to Batman On Film, the full trailer will debut before Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. Guy Ritchie's detective sequel opens in the UK on December 16. You can watch the trailer for that film at the bottom of the page.

Additionally, a six-minute prologue to the Batman movie is expected to screen before Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which also opens in December.

As the world no doubt knows by now, Christopher Nolan's final Batman film The Dark Knight Rises opens next summer. Christian Bale and Gary Oldman reprise their roles as Batman and Commissioner Gordon. The central villain will be Bane, played by Tom Hardy, while Anne Hathaway will take on the iconic role of the treacherous Catwoman.
