Nominees also include 'Twilight', 'Harry Potter' and 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'

'The Hunger Games', 'Bridesmaids', Ryan Gosling up for 2012 MTV Movie Awards

The nominees for this year's MTV Movie Awards have been announced.

MTV's list of nominees reveals that Bridesmaids and The Hunger Games are the most hotly tipped movies, with both films scoring eight nominations, including Movie of the Year and Best Cast. Both film's stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristin Wiig, have been nominated for Best Female Performance.

Ryan Gosling, who was snubbed at this year's Oscars has been nominated for Best Male Performance for his turn in Drive, in a category which pits him against Daniel Radcliffe for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows - Part 2, Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 50/50, Josh Hutcherson in The Hunger Games and Channing Tatum in The Vow.

Gosling has also been given the nod for Best Gut-Wrenching Performance in Drive, as well as in the Best Kiss category, alongside co-star Emma Stone for their onscreen smooch in Crazy, Stupid, Love.

The ceremony will take place on June 3 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles. The full list of nominees is:
