London is to host the world premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, makers Lionsgate have announced.

The premiere will take place in the British capital on November 11 before the film opens in cinemas worldwide on November 22. You can watch the latest trailer for the film at the bottom of this article.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the sequel to last year's The Hunger Games, an adaptation of the first novel in a trilogy by author Suzanne Collins. The film grossed close to $700 million (£450million) worldwide, becoming the ninth highest earner of 2012.

Jennifer Lawrence has reprised her role as heroine Katniss in Catching Fire, joined by returning cast members Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz. Meanwhile, new additions to the cast for the sequel include Philip Seymour Hoffman, who plays head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee, and Sam Claflin, whose character Finnick Odair is a potential love interest for Lawrence's Katniss.

Collins' third and final Hunger Games novel, Mockingjay, is being split into two separate films, which are set for release in November 2014 and November 2015.
