'The IT Crowd' will return for one-off final episode on September 27
Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson and Matt Berry have all returned for finale
The last ever episode of The IT Crowd will air on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday, September 27.
Created by Graham Linehan, one half of the duo behind Father Ted, the office-set sitcom debuted on Channel 4 in 2006 and ran for four series. In May of this year Linehan announced he had locked down plans to revive the show for a special one-off finale and filming got underway later that month. Original stars Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson and Matt Berry have all returned for the final episode.
Why now is the right time for The IT Crowd to end
On September 5 Linehan revealed that the finale would air on Channel 4 later in September and now the show's official Twitter feed has confirmed the exact date and time.
The last episode will have a slightly longer 40-minute running time and Linehan apparently wrote the script over a year ago, but filming was held up by the cast members' busy schedules.
