'The Sarah-Jane Adventures' to continue without Elisabeth Sladen?
Filming on a new series had been well underway before actress' death
The Sarah-Jane Adventures could be set to continue following the death of its star Elisabeth Sladen. The much-loved Doctor Who actress passed away last month, having already filmed a portion of the fifth series of her spin-off show. The BBC had been unsure of what to do with the footage, but now The Sun reports there are plans to complete the series without her as a tribute.
Writers will now rewrite the remaining scripts to explain Sarah-Jane's absence. A source said: "Writers will find a way to complete the series without Sarah. Fans will be thrilled to know she is returning."
Meanwhile, BBC Four is repeating Sladen's final classic-series story as Sarah-Jane, The Hand Of Fear, next week (May 9 and 10).
