Tommy Lee Jones joins new 'Captain America' film
Marvel confirms another big name for the project
Tommy Lee Jones has officially signed up for Marvel's The First Avenger: Captain America movie. The actor has signed up to play Colonel Phillips in the movie, the character who is responsible for recruiting Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, to the secret US experiment that creates him.
Jones will shoot scenes alongside Chris Evans, who takes the lead role, and already-cast actors Hugo Weaving and Stanley Tucci this summer in the UK, before going on to shoot Men In Black 3 later this year.
The First Avenger: Captain America is set for release on July 22 next year.
