Last year it was reported that plans are underway to turn the classic Coen Brothers movie Fargo into a TV series.
Joel and Ethan Coen wrote, directed and produced the 1996 crime film, which starred Frances McDormand as a pregnant sheriff in a sleepy North Dakota town and William H Macy as a car salesman who hatches an ill-fated plan to have his wife kidnapped.
US cable network FX - home of Dexter and American Horror Story - has ordered a script for an hour-long TV pilot based on the film. The Coen Brothers will serve as executive producers, with the script being penned by Noah Hawley, a former writer-producer on Bones.
