Lena Dunham's hit show Girls will add two new cast members when it returns for its fourth series, according to the AV Club.

The next series will see Dunham's character Hannah Horvath take a class at the Iowa Writers' Workshop with new additions played by Desiree Akhavan and Peter Mark Kendall. Although the scenes will be filmed in locations around Iowa City, the show won't actually shoot at the University Of Iowa, where the class is said to take place.

Akhavan recently premiered her debut film Appropriate Behaviour, which she directed and starred in herself, at Sundance Film Festival. Kendall, meanwhile, has only appeared on screen a few times in his so far short career.

Season three of Girls featured a guest appearance from Kim Gordon, with the former Sonic Youth member playing Mindy, a cranky member of support group in a rehab facility attended by Jessa, played by actress Jemima Kirke.
