'War hero' joins 'The Twight Saga' cast

Rami Malek, who recently appeared as Merriell 'Snafu' Shelton in Emmy Award-winning mini-series The Pacific, has joined the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The actor will appear in the second part of the franchise's next film.

Malektold Etonline.comthat he would be playing the part of Benjamin, "an Egyptian vampire with the power to control the four elements, earth, fire, air and water".

He added: "He’s a member of the Egyptian Coven – Benjamin and his brethren travel to Forks in the fourth book to serve as witnesses on behalf of the Cullens."

The remaining members of Benjamin's family – Amun, Kebi and Tia – are yet to be cast.
