Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones return for 3D 'Men In Black'
Director confirms back as government agents
The director of the original movie has confirmed that the stars will return for a third film. Barry Sonnenfeld has told Showbiz411.com that, despite rumours that Will Smith had left the project, both he and Tommy Lee Jones have now signed on to the film, which is set to be shot in 3D.
According to the report, despite the fact that MIB 3-D is still awaiting a script, Sony will look to fast-track the film for a summer 2011 release, after Spider-Man 4 was cancelled.
The first two Men In Black movies starred Smith and Jones as secret government agents monitoring alien life on Earth.
They grossed a combined $1bn at the worldwide box office.
