Bristol
Trip-hop? That was a lifetime ago. These days the city throbs to the sound of dubstep, with the scene revolving round Tube, the club owned by Massive Attackās Daddy G. Perhaps it's no surprise that the genre has been seized upon in the city where electronics and dub have been combined like no other in the past.
Alumni: Tricky, Massive Attack, Portishead.
Pub fact: The Horrors are currently recording their second album in Bristol with Portishead's Geoff Barrows, in the band's State Of Art studios.
