The Wombats - The Wombats at O2 Brixton Academy - Wednesday 28th September 2011 video

The Wombats are an indie rock band who were formed in Liverpool, UK in 2006. The three band members met in 2003 at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, soon became good friends , started jaming together and released their debut single Girls, Boys and Marsupials. A year later they released their first studio album, The Wombats Proudly Present: a guide to Love, Loss and Desperation which peaked at number 11 in the UK charts. It has been described as a buoyant, joyful, gloriously catchy pop album with witty lyrics. Things have moved on since their first album and their second, The Modern Glitch which is darker, more reflective and the result is a more honest album. WinkBall citizen video reporters were at the O2 Brixton Academy asking the fans what they think about The Wombats, how would they describe their music and any songs they would like to hear tonight
