Witches combine trumpet, glockenspiel, three guitars, analogue synth and anything else they can lay their hands on to create a sound that's as diverse as its influences. With a six-piece line up, Witches sound like a cross between Sparklehorse, Low and Yo La Tengo. Debut album Heart of Stone gained Witches a wealth of good reviews from BBC Radio Oxford, Nightshift and Oxfordbands.com. Following on from some wonderful gigs in their home town of Oxford, Witches are just starting to gig in the Big Smoke - see the website for more info.
