MAN SHOT DEAD AT HIP-HOP EVENT

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot dead at a hip-hop event in LONDON at the weekend.

Officers were called to the Litten Tree pub in Wood Green just before midnight on Friday (April 19) after reports of a shooting. A 20 year old man, Jade Steven Alleyne, was discovered on the dancefloor suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police say up to 300 people were in the venue at the time. They have not yet established a motive for the shooting but say there was an altercation between a group of young men. They are calling on anyone who saw anything or saw a vehicle speeding from the venue, to contact them.
