Kaiser Chiefs have teamed up with the creators of ’The Beano’ to make the cover of their next single.
Artists from the Scottish comic have been called in to design the cover for ’The Angry Mob’.
All the members of the band, Andrew White, Simon Rix, Peanut, Nick Hodgson and Ricky Wilson, will be turned into comic book characters.
Drummer Nick Hodgson said: “Our next single is coming out in August - and we’re going to be Beano-fied. The front cover is being designed by the people who do The Beano.
“There’s going to be a Beano story, and it’s going to feature us as cheeky characters. We want out Scottish fans to know about it and our love of all things north of the border.”
The link-up came about after the band began writing a tour blog called ’The Angry’ and they chose a comic icon in the style of ’The Beano’ as the link from their website, reports The Daily Record.
Meanwhile the band play the O2 Wireless Festival this weekend (June 16-17), stay tuned to NME.COM for reports and reviews from the whole event.
