Martin says 'pressure is a catalyst'

Coldplayhave posted a handwritten blog on Coldplay.com about the progress the band have made on their new album.

The group are currently working on the follow-up to 2005’s ’X&Y’.

A handwritten note explains: “The self-imposed deadline looms and new songs have arrived. Famous Old Painters + Glass of Water. It’s as if the pressure is a catalyst. The pressure to finish has triggered a new writing surge. However, the deadline still stands…”

Previously, the band recently revealed nine tracks and titles for the new songs, and Coldplay have said that the album, which the band have recorded in part in Barcelona, will be no longer than 42 minutes in duration.
