The legends WILL play more dates

Led Zeppelin will tour in 2008, the band who have been booked as their tour support have revealed.

Ian Astbury, lead singer of The Cult, has confirmed that they have been roped in to support the recently-reformed band on a jaunt next year.

According to Billboard, during a gig in Cincinnati on November 17, Astbury said: "We'll be back next year, because we're opening for a band you may have heard of. The name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it.”

Hearing the announcement, a fan in the audience shouted, “Led Zeppelin.” Astbury nodded an affirmative response, and raised an arm into the air.

Led Zeppelin are yet to announce official details of any new tours.

However speaking about their reunion on December 10, guitarist Jimmy Page has revealed the band will play one of their songs live for the first time ever.

what a fucking liberty! yes, I love led zeppelin - but what happened to all the quotes, prior to tickets allocations being made for the O2 gig, that this was their LAST EVER GIG?????!
I forked out close to £600 to see them at the O2, on the condition that that would be their last EVER gig... I wish I'd sold me ballot code for the thousands of pounds they were selling for at the time, an saved the £600 I spent on two tickets, and gone and seen them on tour instead.

what a bunch of jokers!

This is ridiculous if true. I got lucky and got a code AND paid for flights and accomodation to get to London for this, I could have just seen them when they toured.

To be honest, your obviously not true fans if your complainig that they are doing a tour. I would happily have paid double that for tickets to o2 and then been even happier to hear about the tour. I wouldnt regret it one bit. Your just being a selfish loser, what about all us fans who didnt see the o2 gig.

The song STILL remains the same!! THE LED IS BACK! This is awesome. Now all we have to do is wait for AC/DC to come back in '08 as well (It's happening!) and AC/DC should tour with the Zeppelin! Now that would be the best show ever. The two greatest rock and roll bands together on the same stage! and davemoy....lmao!! funny comment up there about Limp Bizkit :) made me chuckle.... and Joshlampurd...You are absoultely right about what you said!

why would you bitch and moan about paying that money to see them. that is a fucking story to never forget. i know at least 100 people that entered the lottery for O2 show and nobody got lucky enough to get a code. i would happily pay any amount of money to see them whether it was supposed to be their last show of all time or just on tour. people are paying around $300 a ticket for van halen and they are on tour. give me a break. at least you got to see them in london. also, are you telling me you wont go see them again when they are going to be playing just hours from you, regardless of what ticket prices are. its Led fucking Zeppelin. im ashamed of some of you.

I think this is great news for the fans who missed out first time around.I saw them at Knebworth I now have the chance to take my 9yo son to see them.If you are a true fan you should be happy.Im sorry but shit happens for the people who payed over the odds to touts on a well known auction site words can not express how happy i am you got what you deserve its people like this whom keep tickets away from true fans Im so happy you are pissed off

Man, if you shelled out "close to £600 to see them at the O2, on the condition that that would be their last EVER gig..." then you went to see them for all the wrong reasons.

Oh well, at least you have your bragging rights, that's all you really wanted right??

I understand the complaints. Well, not really, bec. this is the one band I've wanted to see all my life...

But there was plenty of hype over here about them putting together a tour before the O2 show happened.
