The Doctor and his newest assistant given musical tribute

Fast Ood Rockers have recorded a song in tribute to the forthcoming Christmas special of Dr Who, co-starring Kylie Minogue.

As previously reported, Minogue is set to play a maid on the Titanic who encounters the Doctor, played by David Tennant.

The punningly-named group - they have changed their name to include Dr Who aliens The Ood - have written ‘Song 4 Kylie: …I’m In Love (With A Girl In A Time Machine)’ which samples tracks by Goldfrapp, The Killers, , Kylie’s ‘2 Hearts’ and the Dr Who theme tune, plus includes sleigh bells, crowd noise and "rave horns".

However in a statement, the band say that the song’s release date is "never" and their label is "none".

A clip of the track can be heard at Popjustice.com.
