Foals, Glasvegas and The Ting Tings also make the cut

Fast-rising singer Adele has been voted top of the BBC’s new music talent list for 2008.

The poll saw 150 music critics, including NME journalists, voting for new acts they tip to succeed in 2008, with the teenage Londoner proving the most popular choice.

Several NME favourites, including as Glasvegas, Foals and Vampire Weekend also featured highly in the list.

The top ten was:

1. Adele
2. Duffy (above)
3. The Ting Tings
4. Glasvegas
5. Foals
6. Vampire Weekend
7. Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong
8. Black Kids
9. MGMT
10. Santogold

mmm, i didnt like her at first but after listening to her WHOLE album & I was impressed. I hate the fact that she comes from the BRIT school and she is a Wino knock of, but at least she has a personality, unlike duffy.
