ALANIS GETS HER LEG OVER

The warbling songstress will be visiting some unusual destinations....

Alanis Morissette is to head out on a 15-date world tour this month taking in some curious destinations including Beirut, Delhi, Beijing, Istanbul and Pula in Croatia.

Morissette has dubbed the tour "my self-indulgent leg".

In a statement announcing the dates, the Canadian singer went on that she had chosen places "I've been and yearned to return to, or places that I've not been and have been drawn to, performing songs that were inspired in or by the exact places we'll be visiting is fulfilling and is an opportunity for me to give thanks".

The tour is preceded by Morissette's appearence at the MMH2000 music awards in Beijing on June 16 and a guest spot alongside Beck, No Doubt and Eurythmics at the opening of the Seattle Music Project Museum on June 24.

A new album, the follow up to 1998's Supposed Fomer Infatuation Junkie is, according to Billboard's website www.billboard.com slated for release through Maverick in 2001.
