The Babyshambles man won’t be performing in London

Pete Doherty has cancelled his previously-scheduled support slot with The Sonics at London’s Forum venue tonight (March 23).

A spokesperson for The Sonics told NME.COM that Doherty's management had informed him that the Babyshambles man was in his Wiltshire home and was unable to make the gig.

The Horrors will still play their support slot at 8:30pm (GMT).

Seriously NME, if Mr P D failed to eat his corn flakes this morning would you report it?

I saw pete play at a pub in Seven Sisters yesterday, (22nd March)i got told he was going to perform but i didnt think he would actually turn up, got to watch him sound check. was surreal. when he actually played he only did a few songs and then jumped off the side of the stage and out the front door, the night was wicked and wasnt too packed as there as there were only about 50 people in the pub, wicked night. good one Pete.

I was there last night, and to be honest most people were happy he wasn't performing, he didn't suit the evening's proceedings, was no great loss, cos we had The Sonics!

Another wasted opportunity. I remember when he cancelled supporting Oasis as well. Fucking clown.

There was a huge cheer when it was announced at the gig that he was cancelling, hard to tell if it was ironic or relief.
